Expansion presents Shirley Jones of The Jones Girls and the Queen of Philly Soul Jean Carne on a brand new song produced by Joey Negro. Concept was for a track to echo the glory of such epics as “Nights Over Egypt” and “Was That all It Was” while lyrically celebrating surviving the odds, ‘whatever it takes’, much like Expansion Records over the last 25 years. The song will also feature on a forthcoming collection “Soul Sauce 25” to mark the label’s QC from 1986 to 2011. Flipside is the Cool Million mix of “tell Me What’s Wrong”, the first time Shirley and Jean ever recorded together and taken from last year’s “Soul Togetherness” album.
